Highland Peak in a Limited Edition Color
Warm Tones for Cool Peak
Highland Peak is the highest mountain in the northern Sierra Nevada range, the longest continuous and unified mountain chain in the United States. Highland Peak rises to 10,936 feet (3,333 meters) in the California Alpine region, and is a landmark on the Pacific Crest Trail. Interlocking groups of triangles arranged in unbroken bands celebrate the Sierra Nevada and Highland Peak, a landmark in the unbroken chain of mountains known as “The Range of Light."
We celebrate this beautiful mountain with a robe size (64"x80“) in a special Red Chili color. The production in this special red is limited to 1863. This traditional nine-element design is woven of 82% virgin wool and 18% cotton. It’s finished with wool felt binding in a dark chocolate brown. Thanks to our jacquard looms, Highland Peak has a dramatic reverse, for two looks in one blanket.
The Inspiration
The Highland Peak ascent is a difficult one. Each year, less than thirty hikers make it to the top, leaving notes for those who follow in the battered summit register at the top of this demanding climb.
