Make a Beautiful Bed with Pendleton

Beautiful beds, beautiful blankets

Designed with Color and Pattern Play in MindWe design our bedding and throw collections with color and pattern top of mind. Yarn colors used in our iconic Jacquards are coordinated to tie back to the more subtle stripes, plaids and matelassé styles. This means our patterns easily work together as layering pieces in your home.  Mixing one of our bold Jacquard blankets with a tonal coverlet adds a unique and personal style to the layers of your bed.Susanna Scott, Pendleton Surface Design Manager

We all deserve a good night’s rest in a beautiful bed. Is it time to bring some beauty into your own bedroom? Whether you choose wool or cotton, there is an art to bringing beauty together from all the different bedding options that Pendleton offers. Here are a few tips, based on whichever style inspires you.

Time for a hero.

To make a bolder mix, start with a hero pattern–the star of the show that helps define the color story. But now, you can get creative. Add complementing layers in stripes, plaids, or geometrics. Use solid colors, or smaller designs that can act as neutrals. Bolder patterns add interest. Layer up with wool or cotton—different weights of bedding will help you sleep in comfort and style.

A hero pattern and a pattern through time, Harding is one of Pendleton’s oldest and most popular patterns. Here it is accented with serenely blue coordinating sheets and Eco-Wise Wool shams.

More Pattern Play

Choosing a strong color to anchor the look, and add pattern and build from there.  Here, we’ve chosen deep navy blue, starting with the Grand Canyon National Park blanket, and adding a bold navy and white Matelasse coverlet. An accent pillow ties the two together with pattern and color.

Keep it Simple Blankets

Perhaps pattern play is not your style. You need a simpler look, something classic. Choosing one blanket – a Camp blanket or a National Park Series blanket over a simple set of luxury sheets, and you are done. This look gives you cabin-inspired simplicity.

Easy Care Washable Wool plaids and stripes work well to balance and accent more colorful geometric patterns. You’ll find a perfect match, thanks to our ability to control yarn dyes here in our USA mills.

And nothing is more simple, or more classic, than our Heirloom Bed Blankets.

Keep it so simple with a luxurious Heirloom blanket, now in three colors with monogram as an option (see online for details).

These are the satin-bound and ultra-soft luxury bed blankets that make a perfect topper (and a perfect wedding gift). We now offer this blanket in three colors and multiple sizes. Monogramming is an option – see online for details.

Mostly Monochromatic

Monochrome is not boring. Pendleton patterns like Los Ojos make black and white a dramatic choice.

Or choose a bold color for monochrome!

Double Exposure

When you choose a Pendleton blanket woven on a jacquard loom, you might be surprised by how different two sides might be. Even with a monochromatic blanket like Los Ojos, you’ll find the back is different than the face. So when you want a refresh? Flip for a new look.
