Time for Warmth

We’re in the thick of winter now (and are we ever in the thick of it in Portland, where Pendleton Woolen Mills is headquartered). Nothing makes you appreciate a sweater more than snow, wind, or freezing rain. Luckily, our designers have enjoyed incorporating beautiful landscapes into scenic sweaters to keep you cozy in style. Most of these also feature bands of our famed geometric designs as part of their patterns. So let’s warm up!

Camping Dreams

Silver Creek Pullover

We love our camping in the Pacific Northwest. We pitch tents (or rent yurts or cabins) all year long, because we’re located in the Pacific Temperate Zone that stretches from Northern California up into Alaska. The Silver Creek Pullover features fir trees on the front, with a continuously knit camping scene on the back. This pullover sweater is made in a soft blend of 79% cotton and 21% merino wool. It has a ribbed crossover shawl collar, and stripes at the cuffs that might remind you of our cozy camp blankets.

Cotton Camp Cardigan

This cardigan is knit in a heavier weight 100% cotton, which makes it a great jacket alternative. It also features a continuous outdoor scene with evergreens and mountain peaks. On the back, a cozy tent inspires dreams of camping in the forest. It has two pockets, a foldover shawl collar, and faux horn buttons.

Shades of Grey

Scenic Peak Cardigan

Our men’s Scenic Peak Cardigan is a tribute to the iconic (and volcanic) peak that overlooks Portland. It’s knitted in 100% lambswool in shades of charcoal and grey, with towering evergreens on the body and sleeves, with a silhouette of Mt. Hood on the back. It has a higher zip with a leather zipper pull, and a foldover shawl collar.

Timberline Merino Pullover (Grey with white slanted timberline)

Knit in the softest 100% merino wool, that Timberline Crewneck Pullover shows grey evergreens silhouetted against an ivory background. The continuous diagonal line is subtle, pretty, and flattering. A slightly cropped length with a relaxed fit.

Alpine Zip Cardigan

The women’s Alpine Zip Cardigan is knitted of 100% lambswool in warm colors—deep rust red and heathered tan. The front features a continuous line of towering pines. On the back, a woodland visitor in the foreground stops for just a moment before a wintry peak that rises high above the tree line. This sweater is classic fit, with a shawl collar, raglan sleeves and side pockets.

Columbia Shawl Collar Cardigan – Columbia Gorge pattern (on sale)

This one is currently on sale, so hurry!
